Major setback for Shiv Sena Haji Arafat Shaikh who was appointed as Maharashtra Minority Commission Chairman on Friday, joined Bhatiya Janata Party late on Saturday in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai President Ashish Shelar .
According to the sources his relationship with Shiv Sena Supremo Uddhav Thackeray was not healthy because of his closeness with CM Devendra Fadnavis from the last one year. Maharashtra Commission Chairman post was vacant after Ameer Sahab resignation. Minority affairs is already in BJP hand. Hydar Azam is appointed as Chairman of Maulana Azad Financial Corporation. This two Big faces of Minority Community got good portfolio in BJP Government, means BJP is trying to woo minority people before 2019 Loksabha Elections.
