Kashmir Tour Operators Thanks Maharashtra and Gujarat Tour Operators for their Co-operation :
It is true that after the ill-fated terror attack in Pulwama many tourists discarded their plans to have a vacation in Kashmir Valley thus affecting the annual business of the Jammu and Kashmir people. Nevertheless, tour operators of Mumbai, Pune, and Gujarat have extended their support to the Kashmir Tour Operators and assured of usual business this summer vacation. Recently Hello Mumbai News reported how the Mumbai’s famous tour operators like Kesari Holidays, Raja Rani Travels, Pooja Travels, Hazel Holidays, Heena Travels etc extended complete support to Kashmiris and promised to make the summer season a success as usual.
Delighted by the support by Mumbai, Pune and Gujarat Tour operators the Kashmir Tour organizations have expressed their gratitude and appreciations. Hello Mumbai News received thanks from many tour operators from Kashmir. Mr. Mohammad Akram Sia, From Meena Travels and Chairman Tourist Trade Interest Guild, said, “I am thankful to all who have supported us in this crisis situation. Truly, the negative propaganda is the brainchild of a few self-interested tour operators and it is not in the interest of our country. We are thus highly thankful to all Tour Operator from Maharashtra and Gujarat, who have stood like a rock against the negative propaganda and stand united with us.”
Mir Anwar, President of Travel Agent’s society of Kashmir (TASK), an apex body of tour operators of Kashmir since 1967 told Hello Mumbai News, “We are really grateful and welcome all who have supported us. People must understand that Kashmir is part of India hence their business loss of Kashmir is the business loss of India.” He added, “It is high time people realize the difference between Terrorism with Tourism, both are different issues. Our state Kashmir is known for generating huge revenue through Tourism sector for both State and Central Government. Hence the ‘Negative propaganda’ must stop as early as possible. I am sure our Indian brethren are smart. They understand business is more important than cheap politics.”
Ather Yameen Narwari, Hon. Secretary General of Travel Agents Society of Kashmir, said, ” I don’t have the world to express my thanks to all who have supported us in this critical situation. We share a deep bond with Mumbai Tour operator and Gujarat since 1980. They have always supported us in such kind of crisis even in the past.” Ather Yameen also mentioned that Kashmir has started a campaign to resist the Negative propaganda as entire India is supporting them. He said, “We have launched positive awareness campaign across India and we are getting a good response. Jammu and Kasmir Government is also supporting us. After all, Tourism is the strongest pillar that connects India with Kashmir in a single cord.”
Showkat Pakhtoon, Elizabeth Tours said, “I regret that Pulwama attack was an unfortunate incident. We all Kashmiri condemn it, but to boycott Kashmir Tourism is not fair. It will create a bad atmosphere in the valley and it will be the victory for communal forces, The entire valley is suffering from terrorism since a long decade. We all Kashmiri Tour operators and Kashmiri people are thankful to all tour operator like Kesari, Heena, Pooja Travels, Raja Rani and many more who have supported us and we hope with their support this year’s summer vacation will have a great business.”
