Thane Rural Crime Branch Kashimira Unit have recovered a charred body of a lady from a deep forest on Wednesday! The murder has sent shock waves in the area.

API Pramod Badhakh informed media that on Wednesday, January 16, the police found a charred body of the lady inside the jungle adjacent to Mumbai Ahmadabad Highway. The dead body was immediately sent to postmortem. On investigation, the dead body was identified as Nirmala Sachin Yadav alias Nirmala Shanker Dhonekar (40). She was a resident of Shree Ram Nagar in Nallasopara.

After a lot of efforts and tribulations, the Kashimira Crime Branch police was finally able to arrest the accused from Billal Pada in Nallasopara East. The accused identified as Abrar Mohammad Aslam Sheikh during interrogation confessed his crime. During interrogation the accused informed that he was a married man but when he saw the victim Nirmala he fell in her love and the duo started meeting each other. Soon their relationship became intense and they started having sexual relations. After years of sexual relation, the victim insisted Abrar Sheikh for marriage. However being already married Abrar Sheikh was caught in a web. Hence to seek a solution he killed his lover Nirmala.

The accused informed police that on January 15,he called Nirmala and asked her if she is ready to marry him. A delighted Nirmala nodded. Abrar called her to meet at Ghodabandar Road Fountain Hotel located on the Mumbai Ahmadabad Highway, in the jurisdiction of Kashimira Police station. Later Abrar took Nirmala into a dense forest and brutally killed her by smashing her head by a huge stone!!!

After killing Nirmala the accused burned the body to destroy evidence. The police have arrested the accused under 302 (Murder) and 201 (Destroying evidence of the crime).
