MUMBAI — In a major reshuffle within the Maharashtra Police establishment, the state government has announced the promotion and transfer of several senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Notably, senior IPS officer Paramjit Singh Dahiya has been promoted to the rank of Special Inspector General (IG) and posted to the elite Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Prior to this high-profile appointment, Mr. Dahiya served with distinction as the Additional Commissioner of Police for the Western Region in Mumbai.
