Breaking News :

On Monday Election Commision  ordered to Maharashtra Home Department immediate transfer of Maharashtra DGP Rashmi Shukla,  EC also directed Maharashtra chief  Secratary to hand over her charge to the next  Senior IPS officer as per their  cadre and send a panel of three IPS officers by 05.11.2024 (1 pm ) for appointment as DGP Maharashtra.

Following repeated complaints from the Congress  State President Nana Patole and NCP (SP), the Election Commission has took this step and issued transferred of Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla.

Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik has been asked to submit a panel of three senior-most IPS officers for consideration for the DGP post the Election Commission,

After the repeated Complaint from Opposition political parties against Rashmi Shukla regarding her bias attitude and closeness to BJP, Previous Phone tapping Controversy and other issue. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, reviewed all these allegations and complaints and found this issue can disturb Maharashtra Election atmosphere and passed the order.

According to reliable sources Vivek Phansalkar Commissioner of Mumbai Police may take additional charge of DG Maharashtra.
