Mumbai businessman arrested by Gujarat crime branch for cheating Reliance to a tune of Rs. 5 crores
White collar criminal, fraudster, habitual cheater Raju Manohar Naik Managing Director of United Ship Repairs and Marine works Pvt Ltd. (USR)
who has cheated hundreds in Mumbai, Gujarat, Vishakapatnam etc., _HAS BEEN ARRESTED _by_ The Gujarat Police – a Local Crime Branch team from Amreli* in connection with C.R No. I-20/2018 in the early hours of Sunday – 1st August 2021 from his home at Tilak Nagar, Chembur, Mumbai. The team of squads from Parole Furlough Shri S.A Bagada, Shri A. M Solanki, Shri D.D Makavana and Shri J.C.Kuvadiaya supervised by Shri R.K.Karamta , Crime branch travelled 900 Kms and successfully conducted the raid under the Directions of Superitendent of Police Amreli Gujarat, Shri Nirlipt Rai IPS with the help of Adv.Padma Shelatkar and local police, Tilak Nagar, Chembur.
Case was registered in Pipavav police station, Gujarat by Reliance Defence and Engineering company Ltd.
The Reliance company after getting a contract with Indian Navy for repairing it’s war ship *INS Savitri* had handed over the work to United Ship Repairs which belonged to accused and made payments to the tune of *Rs. 5 crores*. The USR company played fraud and cheated the Indian Defence Naval keeping in illegal custody of their machinaries wherein there arose a matter of national security. Raju Naik was absconding after rejection of his ABA in Gujarat sessions court, High Court and even after no relief from Hon’ Supreme court, since 2018.
A fresh case bearing No. 298/21 was registered against him at Khar police station Mumbai in which the mother daughter duo Raghini Khandelwal and Mansi Khandelwal , along with Raju Manohar Naik habitual criminals of Maharashtra are also involved, recently the Hon Bombay High court Justice Kotwal too rejected his plea for ABA in the khar case.
