BSP selects Mumbai social activist Arshad Siddiqui to contest in UP :
The coming Lok Sabha 2019 Election is a mega war between BJP and the aligned group of parties. Hence each party is selecting its candidates thinking twice to make sure they are able to give the NDA government a severe defeat.
The Mayawati led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has thus selected renowned Social Activist from Mumbai Arshad Siddiqui to contest the Lok Sabha election from Dhaurahra constituency in Uttar Pradesh on a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ticket.
It may be noted Arshad Siddiqui is a respected name in Mumbai and has played a key role in service to mankind through his NGO Red Crescent Society of India. Being the chairman of NGO, Arshad Siddiqui has been a front runner in many charitable and humanitarian services.
His was the first NGO in the city to extend help to the poor Rohingyas. The NGO provided necessary material like dal, rice, pulses, cloths, medical kits and a lot of other things to help distressed group. In addition, Arshad Siddiqui is known for helping the Gujarat Earthquake victims and the people affected in Tsunami and floods. In short, Arshad Siddiqui is recognized as a ‘Messiah’ of the poor and underprivileged. Hence his chances of winning the seat are bright.
