Congress-NCP challenges Chandrakant Patil to have a public debate on the Shiv Smarak project.
The large scale corruption in the project is infuriating and the government is only giving false answers.

Chhatrapati Shivaji is not the presiding deity of Maharashtra but of the entire country. The large scale corruption involved in project is infuriating and is also unbearable. And so far the government is only giving false answers in an attempt to cover up the scam. All the clarifications given by PWD minister Chandrakant Patil are untrue and do not make sense.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary and spokesperson Sachin Sawant and NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik have challenged Chandrakant Patil to come for a public debate on the issue.
Sawant said that the corruption in the project was exposed by them with enough proof. Even Vinayak Mete the chairman of the Shiv Smarak project has pointed out irregularities in the project and demanded an inquiry.
Despite all this the government is shying away from ordering an inquiry into the project and to seek all the answers regarding the project the government must engage in an open debate with them on the platform which is comfortable for them.
Chandrakant Patil or any other minister should choose their convenient platform and come ahead for a discussion into issue said Sawant.
