The Mumbai Crime Branch, Unit 3 , has arrested two accused persons involved in Dockyard Firing Case.The incident took place on th night of 12 May at Mazgaon Dockyard when two persons came on Motorcycle and opened fired at Sameer Shaikh son of Aseef Dadi and eloped away from the spot.

While Speaking With Hello Mumbai News Sadanand Yerekar Senior Police Inspector of Crime Branch Unit 3 Confirmed this news,” in this firing Case we have arrested two accused from Mahim Dargha Area,the motive behind this firing incident was Financial Dispute, During the investigation we recoverd pistol, Mobile phone and Motorcycle”.

Mr sadanad further states, we got police Custody of both accused till 19 th May.Our investigation is underway.

In this Connection A case was registered at Byculla Police Station under CR No. 128/2026 under Sections 109, 308, 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act and relevant sections of the Maharashtra Police Act.

The case was handed over to Mumbai Crime Branch Unit 3.
During the investigation, the Crime Branch used technical analysis and confidential intelligence to trace the accused. It was found that accused no. 1, aged 30 years, had carried out the firing, while accused no. 2, aged 33 years, had assisted him. After gathering information about their whereabouts, police teams launched a search operation and arrested both accused on 13/06/2026 from the Mahim area.

This Opration was carried out under the guidance of senior Mumbai Police officials, including Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection), and other senior officers of the Crime Branch.
