Ex-BJP MP Kirit Somaiya seen as nonetity at Amit Shah Rally in Goregaon :

There was a time when Kirit Somaiya who was two time BJP MP from Mumbai East Central region, Mulund constituency relished all the importance when he held a key portfolio in the Bharatiya Janata Party. But as some difference of opinion emerged between him and the party, he had to cut a sorry figure at various events, rallies of the party. Just like a flower withering from the plant, Kirit Somaiya was looked with sore eyes by the party that includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the existing Home Minister Amit Shah.

This was crystal clearly evident from the raw deal he got at the PM Modi’s address to the gathering at the Mahajan Desh Yatra in Nashik last Thursday. Even as most of the senior leaders such as Ashish Shelar, Rao Saheb Dhanve, Pankaj Munde, Eknath Khadse received rousing welcome, Kirit Somaiya was seemingly ignored. He was seen busy clicking selfie with the netizens of Nashik in the Sabha. Needless to stress that Kirit Somaiya is known to be a controversial figure in the party and more infamous for being anti-Shiv Sena and always holds LK Advani in high esteem. No doubt he enjoys a fan following within the party workers in Nashik who clicked selfie with him.

If this wasn’t enough, at a rally at the Exhibition Grounds in Goregaon, Mumbai on Sunday 22nd September addressed by Home Minister Amit Shah, Kirit Somaiya was seen with the general public watching the hoardings displayed outside the ground and walking away unmindfully as a nobody of the party.

But what’s bewildering is even as he is treated as a nonetity in party, bemusingly Kirit makes it sure to make his presence at various events of the BJP merely to get attention by the media and the public in general.
