
Highlighting the evolving nature of modern crime, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday emphasized that the state police force must equip itself with greater preparedness to tackle the rising challenges of cyber and economic offenses.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony and prize distribution of the 36th Maharashtra State Police Games-2026 held at the Armed Police Headquarters in Kalina, Fadnavis praised the force’s dedication.
“The Maharashtra Police is one of the most professionally competent forces in the country. Their contribution to maintaining law and order is invaluable, and they play a pivotal role in the state’s industrial and economic progress,” he stated.
Launch of ‘Mahachatur’ AI Chatbot
A major highlight of the event was the inauguration of the ‘Mahachatur’ AI Chatbot, a revolutionary initiative by the Department of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
Purpose: To provide a single platform for Maharashtra’s youth to access skill training, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship guidance.
Significance: Fadnavis noted that this is the first state-led initiative of its kind in India. He expressed confidence that the chatbot would bridge the gap between education and employment, providing industries with a skilled workforce instantaneously.
Celebrating Athletic Excellence
Despite the intense heat, the police athletes demonstrated exceptional spirit. Fadnavis congratulated the Mumbai Police for their successful organization of the games and lauded the participants for their sportsmanship.
