Mumbai Police Issues Internal Transfer Orders for Four IPS Officers

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police Commissionerate has issued an internal transfer order for several senior police officers as part of an administrative reshuffle within the department.
According to the special police circular issued on May 17, 2026, the transfers were approved under the provisions of the Maharashtra Police Act and administrative requirements.
The following officers have been transferred:

Manish Kalwaniya has been transferred from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 8) to DCP Zone 1.

Raghushu R. has been shifted from DCP Zone 4 to DCP Zone 2.

Nimit Goyal, who was serving in the Special Branch, has been appointed as DCP Zone 8.

Mohitkumar Garg has been transferred from DCP Zone 2 to DCP Zone 1.
The circular directed all concerned officers to complete the necessary formalities and submit compliance reports to the competent authorities after handing over charge.
The order was issued with the approval of the Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai.
All four IPS officers are widely recognised for their dedicated service, professional efficiency, and strong public relations. They also possess extensive experience in handling key assignments within the Mumbai Police Commissionerate.
