Mumbai: Amid this Covid-19 pandemic induced lockdown situation, the government and the corona warriors are working tirelessly and selflessly to safe guard people and the country from the wrath of the Coronavirus.
Lions Club scattered across the country, as part of their charitable activity, has always risen to needy and deserving causes be it of any magnitude. They have never faltered in their services on humanitarian grounds.Even on occasions of grave situation, they have never stepped back. This is the charisma of the Lions Club.
Now in the four months pandemic scenario, the International Club like Lions Club, Rotary Club and so forth surged ahead to serve the nation.
Interacting with Hello Mumbai News Reporter Ayushi Kedia, Mr.Narendra Jain said ” right from day one regularly the club has been serving cooked meal to 400-450 people and distributed Grocery kits to around 800 poor families and provided other services door to door. They also made them aware to be at home rather than stepping out of the house unnecessarily.
He conveyed a message to the people, to STAY HOME STAY SAFE and to take good care of themselves.
The team has also helped in the distribution of masks and sanitizers to around 7000 people. In addition, the Club has contributed a staggering amount of Rs.1, 11,111 to PM Care Funds.
Even for the needy family the Team has has served people by providing clothes and other basic essentials for the poor and needy and food, water, biscuits and milk to the migrant workers and their children in their travel to their native village.
He further said, the club has helped in providing all the basic things to Municipal Corporation for making it available to needy people.
And being an International Club the district has given 10,000$ to every districts.
