Mumbai: Manoj Shah, Treasurer, Lions Club, Andheri, known for his dynamic and selfless working style reveals to Esha Pujari over phone about how Lions Club, Andheri are untiringly and selflessly helping the poor and needy people amid the Covid-19 induced lockdown.
Manoj affirmed to Esha Pujari that in the current scenario, Lions Club, Andheri, are helping the people and the society even as distributing sanitization spray which is automatically operated and can work manually for six hours. This was distributed to five police stations including Khar Versova and Andheri. They even distributed masks and gloves too.
Elaborating on the challenges faced by him, he said while on distribution, there was a risk of contracting the infection, despite taking precautionary measures using masks gloves and sanitizers.
He is not satisfied with the working style of BMC, but agrees as the spike in cases are rising they cannot be everywhere and all the frontline workers are doing the level best and we need to cooperate with them.
When Esha Pujari asked for his views on migrant workers, he feels that the political parties are playing dirty politics, with the result, the migrant workers are not getting proper facilities.
