” Muharram is very important month of in Islamic Calendar it gives us the message of peace to the world , in this month historical war of Karbala happened  and grandson of Prophet Mohammad Hazarat Imam Husain and Hazarat Imam Hasan sacrified  their family in karbala for the victory of Islam ,  pleas pray to God and follow the path of Islam , said Sunni Muslim Scholar and well known religions leader of Muslim Community and EX MP ,Maulana Ubedullah Azmi in a public meeting  in Sakinaka.

During his speech he appealed  to all Muslims read Quran , remember the history of Karbala .On this on this great religious moment another Muslim religious leader Maulana Moin Miya and many other leaders were also present.Moin Miya Confused the Majlis with Duaa.Local Congress MLA Arif Naseem khan , senior Journalist Sayed Salman , Ejaz Ansari from UNI news agency were also present .A well known social activist Mr. Zakir organised this religious meet also thanked to all who attended this Majlis .

Brief  History History and Importance of Muharram in Islam :

Muharram is a solemn occasion which marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain. It is observed on the tenth day of the month of Muharram, which is the first month in the Muslim calendar. His martyrdom is observed by long processions, especially amongst the Shia Muslims of India.
On the other hand, Shia Muslims prepare for a month long (actually longer period) of daily programs commemorating the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain and the noble family of Prophet Muhammad. Muharram is almost synonymous with crying, shedding tears and other rituals to honor the great memory of Ahlul Bayt, People of the House (of Prophet Muhammad).

Muharram, which is the first month of of the Islamic calendar, is being observed with great reverence and respect by Muslims all over the world. Like every year the financial capital of India Mumbai also observing Muharram. Muslims with Taaziya processions taken out on the street of the city to remember the sacrifice of Hazarat Imam Hussain and Imam Hasan.
Alam and Taziya is very much old tradition in the Month of Muharram.
