Mumbai: It was on Friday that we covered a story on Canada based bussinessman Hemant Shah who appealed to Government to desist from playing dirty politics with the hapless migrants rendered jobless and penniless.
Now on the subject of the migrant worker problem, while interacting with different MLAs and leaders from Mumbai, such as Dahisar based Mrs.Manisha Chaudhary, and Andheri based Mr. Ramesh latke Hello Mumbai News Reporter Rishi Baranwal got different reactions to it.
Shiv Sena’s Mr.Ramesh Latke while answering to the question who is responsible for the crisis of the migrant worker, he diplomatically said that no one responsible for this neither the legislature nor the Central.
Infact the migrants were to be sent to their native villages when the government issued the notice of Lockdown-1. At that time around, the number of people affected by epidemic were less and the number of people losing their life was also low. So migrants don’t carry the virus to their home.
Further, Mrs. Manisha Chaudhary Dahisar’s BJP MLA, highlighted the importance of migrants worker in our day to day life. She elaborated that those who are housekeepers or maids in a house are also migrant workers.
Even the ones who take care of senior citizens as a nurse are also migrants. .She affirmed that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has extended his hands of support, but the State Government led by Shiv-Sena has failed to implement the policy. She has requested the Government of Maharashta to atleast donate a sum of total ₹5000 Per family on monthly basis so as to fulfill their daily needs.
