Mumbai: In a move to combat the war waged by COVID-19 and to curb its rapid surge across the country, instilling fear and panic.
Chief Qazi Mumbai – Mohd Qadri, through a statement has fervently appealed to the Muslim Community not to crowd on the auspicious Shab-e-barat and to sincerely co-operate with the Police in the discharge of their duties.

Through an audio statement released, Mufti Sahab on whatsapp, has appealed to all Muslim youth and community not to stir out on Shab-e-Barat.

Shab -e- Barat is an holy night that comes in the month of Shabana, however, at the present situation prevailing in our country amid the 21-day lockdown announced by the Central Government, each and everyone need to follow this lockdown.

During this lockdown, it is pertinent that we stay indoors and not to come out from our homes on this holy night, but should do the Namaz and Ibadat by sitting at home.

On this holy night, one shouldn’t visit Dargah because it is is of prime importance to follow lockdown norms and which is very important

Mufti Saab also appealed to Haji Ali Dargah and Mahim Dargah Trust to strictly abide by the Lockdown norms .

Our Maharashtra Government and the Central Government are carrying out an excellent and commendable job. Special mention of thanks need to be made to the Mumbai Police for their whole-hearted support.
So this comes as our bounden duty to co-operate with them.

Finally “I request one and all, whosoever, and wherever, to not to come out of their home on the auspicious eve of Shab-e-Barat , but to pray at home and pray to Almighty Allah.

“Our country should emerge free from this most deadly Coronavirus.”

The audio message of Chief Mufti Qadri Sahab has since gone viral on all social Media platform, Whatsapp and Facebook.

Hello Mumbai News Team also appeals to all not to stir out from home on this occasion of Shab-e- barat, but stay home, stay safe and pray from home.

Brief Introduction of Shab-e-barat :

“Shab-e-barat is considered as a very holy night in Islam. In the month of Sahab-aan Muslim pray the whole night and pray Namaaz , and visit the kabristan of their relatives,Dargah and Shrine.Roza (fast) is also kept.

This very night of Sha-e-barat is of prime importance and significance in the religion of Islam.
