Mumbai: Maharashtra has emerged as the highest spread of COVID-19 pandemic with Sixty new coronavirus cases reported on Wednesday. This takes the total number in the state to 1,078.

As against the new cases, Among 44 have been detected in Mumbai, nine in Pune, four in Nagpur, and one each in Ahmednagar, Akola and Buldhana.

Meanwhile five new cases have been reported from Powai. Details are awaited.

In Maharashtra, Mumbai’s count is massive. But the Maharashtra government is of the opine that the situation is much under control.

The rapid escalation of the pandemic has come as a big concern in Mumbai. Cases are on the increase day-to-day.
