Hello Mumbai News Team talks to Tarnija Uday Parab, Secretary, Lions Club of Kandivali for her views
Speaking with Hello Mumbai News over phone Tarnija said they have carried out dental check ups and Survey in school after taking necessary permission from the principal and even held camp with the help of doctors.
She also said that they have provided students with toothpaste and toothbrush and have also organized vision test on workers with weak eyesight in companies and factories eyesight.
Her views on Covid-19 situation is that the workers are suffering due to joblessness and they are facing acute problem to live and eat.
Infact Government should reach out to workers who are suffering due to lack of food and to take care of it staff. She is not satisfied with government. India’s migrant workers will never forget the hunger and humiliation.
Millions of migrant workers, some with wife and children, lost their livelihood overnight amid lockdown and for no fault of theirs. She insisted on MLA to take care of their own area to help needy people.
Needless to mention that in such grave situation and matter for concern, Lions Club provide necessities to children, workers and needy people.
The message she wants to give to the government is they should co-ordinate and divide the work equally with MLA’S and guide them so that needy people will not face any problem in future.
She also said government should organize relief camps to test citizen of India so that do not affect other people of India.
Tarnija needs to tell people that each and everyone is responsible for their own, and should take care of them and their family members to fight the coronavirus situation.
Corporators should appoint volunteers to ensure that people are not roaming unnecessary and stop them. They should also send people in every area in each City to make to stop and clean all the garbage of that area.
Tarnija is a proud recipient of Best Community award last year. She has also taken initiative for Green Play Vision in her own society and provides necessities to the watchman and sweepers.
Small steps can lead to big changes. She wants to give this message to government and take the steps as soon as possible.
