Mumbai:The entire world has been engulfed like a ball of flame by COVID-19 causing widespread damage to precious lives, and property.

The deadly COVID-19 pandemic has curtailed all activities in Goregaon’s Aarey Cluster to a grinding halt throwing the daily wage workers out of action and driven them them to poverty not only in Aarey, but also in various locales of Mumbai in the aftermath of the lockdown.

The entire village in Aarey is deserted with no activities and workers placed in dire straits. Director Jayesh who takes care of the village and its inhabitants is handling the distribution of essential commodities and food kits dauntlessly.

The NGo Naata Foundation is sparing no efforts in going all out to take care of the 14 padas in the tribal villages of Aarey colony where most of the residents are daily wage workers and currently left with no absolute source of income. This has placed them in an impasse making it arduous for them to carry on during this lockdown period.

The NGo Naata Foundation has also dabbled into providing food in Dharavi and have been into the enlivening of these areas unambiguously for women empowerment and towards education of the tribal children since the last 15 years.

In the current phase of COVID19 pandemic, the organisation has provided them with basic adiquasies such as masks, gloves, sanitisers and also dry food kits.

The organization has also ventured into daily supply of day and night meals to around 1500 residents of these tribal villages with the help of Rotary district 3141 and especially Rotary Club of Bombay and Rotary Club of Bombay Peninsula. As a Rotarian himself feel proud to be to be associated as district officer in this organisation.

The food for the same has been coming in from the kitchens of ISCKON and Marol. We are also providing cancer patients in the area with milk.

The NGo is looking forward to receive more support from individuals and organisations in terms of food supplies/basic necessities so that there could be an expand in the outreach to more villages around.

The organisation needs more people to join them to fight together this pandemic .

Under the leadership of Anuja Saha
The chairperson of foundation with team of volunteers
Jayesh , Kalpesh Krishna ,Nitin , Sanjay , Maruti ,Rohit and Vaibhav .
They all are real heroes of the organization who supported this cause and played very important role. .
