PMC Bank employees gherao HDIL director Wadhwan’s residence
PMC is a reputed institution and enjoys high reputation for customer service. The RBI’s abrupt action in asking the customers of the PMC Bank to withdraw only 1000k in six months has not.only left the bank’s customers high and dry but even the bank employees. Unable to succumb to the strictures of RBI tbe bank employees very discreetly gheraoed the Union Park residence of the HDIL director Wadhwan against bad loans from the wee hours of 5 am today.
Reportedly the HDIL Director ensured to have a meeting with the RBI Administrator today. Meanwhile the beleagured bank employees had to make their way out since they needed to open branches. This abrupt decision by the premier banking institution comes ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Now it has to be seen whether the RBI will be prevailed upon to bypass its rules and release insurance to the depositors?
