Mumbai: Mumbai Ghatkopar resident, 64 year old, Prakash Modi succumbed to the dreaded Coronavirus today early morning.

He is the first victim to die of this dreaded virus at the Kasturba Hospital..

The victim had returned from Dubai, and was earlier admitted at Hinduja Hospital and later shifted to Kasturba for further treatment upon testing positive. His wife and son too tested positive. Prakash was originated in Matunga but later moved to Ghatkopar.

Accirding to officials, the patient’s medical history also mentioned diabetes and hypertension, due to which his immunity was low. Hence his recovery was not as quick as expected. Doctors are conducting the post-mortem and other necessary procedures.

Meanwhile Other members around the patient along with his family members are being screened and treated for Coronavirus.
