Amid the rise in the new variant Omicron and with 17 cases reported in Maharashtra and 7 cases reported in Mumbai, Section 144 Cr has been Imposed in Mumbai on Saturday and Sunday by the Maharashtra Government.

The other cause for the imposition of the Section 144 Cr for 2 days is keeping in mind the BIG rally planned by AMiM at  Chadivali, Pawai  for which the Mumbai Police has not given any permission.

Over and above, the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) also plans to protest cross mumbai in support of Advocate BJP MLA Ashish Shelar.

These are the main reasons behind the imposition of the Section 144 Cr by the Mumbai Police for 48 hours.
