A situation of uncertainty and fear looms around all of us but we all have faith in God Almighty and are sure with his blessings we shall move forward with the spirit of Lionism to continue our services to the Humanity. WIth the same faith in our hearts, we organised a solemn prayer session at a Temple in Koperkhairne, Navi Mumbai on the 1st July 2020 to seek the launching blessings. Few Lions and Lionesses were present following the complete norms of social distancing.
DG Lion Rakesh Chaumal and 1st Lady Lion Varsha alongwith senior PDG Lion Surinder Sharma and Lion Roopa performed the puja at the temple on behalf of all. A positive wave was blessed to all to begin the year.
Lateron a live screening of the DGs Installation by IP Lion Dr. Jung-Yul Choi was organised wherein our DG Lion Rakesh Chaumal was administered the path to his office. It was really a moment of happiness to witness this first-time virtual installation. Spot activities were also conducted symbolically to be performed in Raigad area where Cyclone Nisarga has devastated the lifeline.
Earlier during the day Lions Club of Khopoli inaugurated the DIALYSIS CENTRE at Gagangiri Ashram with two dialysis units as a new lionistic year gift to District Governor.
All the members present overwhelmingly committed that they are all ready to serve the purpose of Lionism with the District theme of Humans for Humanity.Â
