Mumbai Police Apprehend 5 Bangladeshi Nationals in Kamathipura Crackdown
MUMBAI: As part of a special drive against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, the Anti-Terrorism Cell (ATC) of the Nagpada Police arrested five Bangladeshi women in the Kamathipura neighborhood on Saturday o. The individuals were found residing in the country without valid legal documentation or official permits.
According to press note issued by Nagpada Police, the operation carried out on June 6, 2026, at approximately 2:00 PM near the Garden Guest House on Shuklaji Street, within the jurisdiction of the Nagpada Police Station. Acting on precise confidential intelligence, a patrolling ATC team intercepted the suspects under suspicion of illegal residency.
Subsequent interrogation revealed that all five individuals are Bangladeshi citizens who bypassed official immigration channels to enter India illegally without permission from foreign Ministery of India

Nagpada police launched Legal Action& Depiction process:
” Following the confirmation of their foreign nationality, the Nagpada Police are initiating deportation procedures. A formal brief and deportation report are being submitted through higher channels to the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch-01, Crime Branch), Mumbai, Said Pradeep Kale Senior Police Inspector of Nagpada police stationÂ
The successful raid was executed by an ATC investigative team led by Assistant Police Inspector (API) Shankar Rathod, alongside Police Head Constables Ahirrao and Jagtap, and Police Constables Shipekar, Khedkar, and Woman Police Constable Chavan.
The entire operation was conducted under the direct guidance of senior officials, including Assistant Police Commissioner (Tardeo Division) Mr. Mugutrao, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-03) Mr. Jayant Meena, and Additional Commissioner of Police (Central Region) Mr. Vikram Deshmane. The report was formally presented by Pradeep Kale, Senior Police Inspector of the Nagpada Police Station.
