The Azad Maidan police have registered an FIR against Harshvardhan Singh Rathore a 30-year-old Indian Navy officer following allegations of assault, abuse, and outraging a woman’s modesty during a road rage incident near Liberty Cinema in south Mumbai on January 6.

The complainant, a 51-year-old HR professional, was travelling with her husband on their Yamaha motorcycle around 7 pm when a dispute arose over,over take issue the accused allegedly stopped their vehicle, forcibly removed the key from their vehicle without permission and took in his pocession,began abusing both husband and wife.
When the woman tried to take the Car’s key in return, Harvinder Singh Rathore allegedly caught her hand in the Car door, preventing her from moving.After hot argument between them Complainant claimed accused refused to return her bike key and continued hurling abuses.
The complainant further alleged that the accused threw the key on the ground and forcefully pushed her on the left shoulder and chest, subjecting her to mental humiliation and outraging her modesty.
The whole incident took over in the presence of Patrolling Police Officers Police brought both parties at Azad Maidan Police station.
During investigation the accused identified himself as Harshvardhan Singh Rathore, aged 30, a Navy officer residing at Naval Station, Uran, Navi Mumbai,
Following the woman’s detailed statement, police registered a case against Rathore under relevant sections pertaining to assault, criminal force, intimidation, and outraging the modesty of a woman.
While Speaking with Hello Mumbai News over a Phone Police Officer from Azad Maidan Police station said,’ we booked accused Harvinder Singh Rathore under B.N.S.S section 74, 126(2),and 352 we have recorded his statement and served the Notice (B.N.S.S 35(C) ,Our investigation is underway”.
