Seizes 20 Kg 348 grams of Ephedrine drugs worth Rs 3 crore on the eve of 31st Night!
Mumbai Police on December 31 night seized 20 Kg 348 grams of banned drug Ephedrine, valued at Rs 3, 04,50000/- from two persons who had landed in Mumbai from Hyderabad to sell it in Mumbai for the occasion of New Year Eve. The police also recovered cash of Rs 15740/-
Amboli, Police inspector Daya Nayak informed Hello Mumbai, “We got a tip-off about few people arriving at Agarwal Estate in Jogeshwari west to sell the prohibited Ephedrine drugs to exploit the New Year craze among Mumbai youth. We laid a trap and arrested a duo at midnight 2.40 a.m. on December 3o, 2018”.
The accused arrested are Mohd Ismail Gulam Hussain (45) and Dayanand Manik Muddannar (32) both history sheeters with who were earlier arrested in 2013 for possessing 200 kgs of Ephedrine by NCB and were released on bail in 2015.
