​Sufi Islamic Board, Official Partner of MY Bharat (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports), Mobilizes Youth Across 18 Key Locations Nationwide, Including Central Jails
​NEW DELHI / MUMBAI | AUGUST 1, 2026 — In a historic push toward building a substance-free nation, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch the nationwide “Nasha Mukta Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan” on August 2, 2026. The event will mark a direct, virtual interactive address with over 1 crore (10 million+) Gen Z youth across nearly 10,000 locations nationwide, uniting the country’s youngest generation under a shared commitment to nation-building.
Spearheaded by MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, the campaign is conceptualized as a 100-week sustained Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) movement. Participating youth will take the collective Nasha Mukti Pledge and enroll as dedicated Nasha Mukta Yuva Volunteers to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
​Sufi Islamic Board’s Multi-State Mobilization
​As an official partner organization of the MY Bharat initiative, the Sufi Islamic Board (SIB) is actively driving youth participation across 18 designated locations in India:
​Kerala (9 Locations): Organizing state-wide youth gatherings, campus pledge drives, and community dialogues to empower youth against substance abuse. Kerala President,SAYYID IBRAHIM ABDULLA KOYA JIFIRI THANGAL will co ordinate the Kerala Programs
​Gujarat (4 Central Jail Programs): Conducting specialized rehabilitation and awareness programs inside 4 Central Jails to support reform, mental wellness, and reintegration among young inmates. Anwar Hussain Shaikh the Vice President of SIB will co- ordinate the Gujrat Programs
​Uttar Pradesh (2 Locations): Leading community awareness events and youth dialogues rooted in values of social responsibility and spiritual harmony.
​Punjab (1 Location): Hosting targeted outreach and pledge sessions to mobilize youth in key affected areas.
​Key Highlights of the August 2 Launch Event
​Mass Pledge & Interaction: Direct virtual address by Prime Minister Modi with over 1 crore Gen Z citizens, setting a world-scale precedent for youth mobilization.
​100-Week Action Plan: Commencing weekly Sunday activities—including sports, walkathons, cultural programs, and community dialogues—to sustain long-term engagement.
​Rehabilitation & Inclusion: Inclusion of institutional programs, such as Central Jail outreach initiatives led by Sufi Islamic Board in Gujarat, ensuring no young citizen is left behind in the journey toward Viksit Bharat 2047.
