



Chhattisgarh is one of the states suffering from Coronavirus pandemic like the other world. In this pandemic situation many people played different role to help and generate awareness and help the needy one.

Sharma is one amongst the all who played major role during corona pandemic.
Notably, Chunnilal is the ADPO District Public Education Committee, Raipur and Assistant Nodal Officer, Covid Control Room. On the ocassion of 74th Independence Day Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh honored him as a Corona Warrior.
While conversing with Hello Mumbai News Correspondent Neha Singh over phone on his experience and Charity
Work amid the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, he said, the
Administration had run two campaigns in 70 wards during lockdown phase 1 and phase 2. In Smart City
Raipur a control room was developed where in any person can make a call and demand for food during the first lockdown. Who ever had called was provided cooked food with the help of NGOS ,the food was cooked and distributed by the NGOS.
Parallel to this donation on wheels an innovative programme was initiated by the District Administration, Raipur with the help of NGOS.In this programme in a four wheeler, visited the people to gather in a stadium. Markedly, crores of ration was collected for distribution amongst community
who were in need in the second phase of lockdownm ration kits were distributed. In the third phase the migrant labourers started coming to Raipur from various states by buses or trucks and for them in Tatibandh a huge camp was organised for the first aid ,food and water. From there, they were sent to their destination with with help of NGOS.
This complete campaign was initiated by the district collector Dr S Bhartidasan (IAS) and Dr Gaurav
Kumar Singh (IAS) CEO Zilla Panchayat Raipur and District Nodal officer of COVID 19 control
He further made it known till.now, they have fed more than 36000 immigrant labourers. They have taken care of immigrant labourers in every way. They have conducted Covid-19 test for all the labours . People with Covid-19 Positive had sent them to their Quarantine Centres.
Adding on he said, a Covid Control Room has been opened by District Administration. It tracks the
positive COVID-19 patients and send them to their quarantine centres.
They are spreading awareness about Covid-19 and are constantly trying to convince people to take
proper precautions like wearing masks, using sanitizers and don’t go to crowded places.
If any one of the citizen have found not wearing mask they will charge the fine of Rs.100/- so that
next time they will wear the mask and take proper precautions.
He has been working with 40 NGO’S having more than 500 members , Police Department and
Government Officials.This Pandemic gave an opportunity to Mr Sharma to get connected with the Organisation members. He got attached with members and enhanced their enthusiasm to help people.
Some Main Organisations/NGO’S are Smart City Raipur,Samarthan Charitable trust ,Aabhas Foundation,Sankalp Sanskritik Samiti,Zilla Lok
Siksha Samiti ,CHILDLINE Raipur, Railway Children India ,Gayatri Pariwar Raipur,Khalsa Relief Foundation.
He stated that due to Covid-19 the business sector has suffered from loss. Some of the people whose
business has been affected very badly they had started selling vegetables for their survival.
He talked about the Present Scenario in Raipur which is totally under controlAccording to him the Covid cases
are increasing because of migrant labourers who were travelling by train. Somealso0ple pulled the train
chain. Some people got down in the middle. So because of it their temperature test is not conducted
on the Railway Stations. However I didn’t even know themselves that they may be Covid Positive.
Mr Sharma stated that during the unlock people started coming out of their houses and not taking
proper precautions so the corona virus is spreading widely eventually the District Administration ,NGOS
and with community participation are trying their best for the awareness and to follow Zilla precautions like mask wearing , social distancing , washing hands and no more gatherings .
Mr Sharma has put his heart and soul in the success of the campaign and he also said that this is his life’s best llķķķìexperience wherein he got an opportunity to serve the communityand þ thanked the district administration, NGOS and community for their efforts
He further elaborated that government has trying its best to keep people safe. While Electronic
Media,Print Media and Digital Media has played a positive role in this situation to spread awareness
about it.
In the end Mr Sharma humbly requested the people to follow government strict rules and regulations.Wear mask, maintain social distancy follow gov rules regulations.
