CASH VAN LOOTED BY 4 ACCUSED AT MANKHURD
A cash van ( Maruti Eco ) has been looted by (4) accused near Dhobi Ghat, Mankhurd on Panvel – Sion highway today at around 16:00 hrs.
Cash van of Securitrans India Pvt Ltd was travelling towards Mumbai after collecting cash from Mankhurd Railway Station. A driver, manager and one security guard were present in the cash van.
Near Dhobi Ghat, 4 accused suddenly stopped the van by attacking with stick. According to witnesses accused were armed with chopper and firearm.
In the incident, a cash of 16.58 lakhs has been looted. Accused ran away in a Maruti Alto car after incident.
A case u/s 392, 427, 34 IPC r/w sec 3,25 Arms Act is being registered at Mankhurd Police Station.
