Mumbai Police’s Social Service Branch, following a tip-off to an illegal orchestra bar in Bhagat Singh Nagar, with the SSB sleuths and WPI Anita Kadam, API Kanawade and team under the guidance of ACP Chandrakant Jadhav Enforcement, SS, CB, Mumbai raided the illegally operated Sainath Refreshment (Rasberry Bar and Restaurant) Orchestra Bar, Bhagat Singh Nagar No.1 Link Road, Goregaon West Mumbai on 9 February at 23.40 hours.

The 31 accused arrested were taken into custody at the Bangur Nagar Police Station under CR No. 72/23, u/s 188, 34 IPC r/w 3, 8(1),(2), Prohibition of Obscene Dancing in Hotels, Restaurants and Bar rooms and Protection of the dignity of the Women (working in them) act 2016.

The police have seized
Rs.49,730 /- cash,1 laptop (Rs-20,000)1 speaker (Rs-3000),1 Amplifier (Rs-25,000) and 1 Memory Card. Total seizure amounted to Rs.97,730.

Further investigations are on through the local police station.
