Actress turned Politician Urmila Matondkar, Congress Candidate from North Mumbai District demanded more police protection during her Election rally saying her life is in danger. After the clashes between Congress and BJP workers on Monday during road show  at Borivali. Urmila Matondkar feels her life is in danger and more attack by BJP workers is possible during election campaign.

She has lodged a written complaint against BJP workers at Brovali police Station, also demand more police protection during  Election Campaigning in North Mumbai.

On the other hand BJP MP Gopal Shetty rejects all allegations, ” they have lost the ground it’s a pubicity stand only and to get Sympathey.”.

Sangramsinh Nishandar, DCP, Zone 11, stated, “An application was received from Ms Matondkar and considering her request, protection has been granted to her till the elections get over. He, however, said that the police is conducting a probe into her allegations to find out if those involved in the scuffle were supporters of BJP.”
