Usama Rauf Khan, President of the Minority Welfare Education Society based in Bhusawal Jalgaon District organised a felicitated programme on appointment Dr Syed Haseen Akhtar Chairman of the Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy, Mumbai. The felicitation ceremony was attended by eminent literary figures, educationists, social activists, and members of the Urdu-speaking community from Jalgaon District.

On this Special occasion, Khan expressed his gratitude for the confidence placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting and preserving the Urdu language for future generations. He emphasized the need to strengthen Urdu education, encourage young writers and poets, and protect the rich cultural and literary heritage of the language.
Under his leadership, the Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy is expected to focus on organizing literary programs, workshops, and cultural events, while also supporting Urdu scholars and authors across the state. Khan also highlighted plans to collaborate with educational institutions and cultural organizations to widen the reach of Urdu literature.
Several dignitaries congratulated Khan and expressed confidence that his experience in minority welfare and education would bring renewed energy to the Academy’s initiatives aimed at the growth and preservation of Urdu language and literature in Maharashtra.

Dr Sayed Haseen Akhtar comes from Beed Marathwada he has strong educational background and supporter of Ajit Dada Pawar led Nationalist Congress party.
