The main highlight of this event, The seminar saw a robust turnout of 155 senior citizens, including 110 from Vile Parle, 20 from Sahar village 15 from Vakola, and 10 from the Airport Police Station jurisdictions.

The proceedings commenced on a solemn note with a heartfelt tribute to the late Padma Vibhushan Asha Bhosle. Following the tribute, the atmosphere was lightened by Ashraf Khan and the Saaz Aur Aawaz Orchestra, who performed a series of melodic classics curated specifically for the senior audience.

The program featured several high-ranking officials and experts who provided actionable advice on navigating the digital landscape safely:

Gabaji Chimte (Senior PI, Vile Parle): Delivered the introductory speech outlining the program’s objectives. He detailed various cyber-safety measures and emphasized the importance of psychological resilience against scammers.
Kailas Kandalkar (Cyber Expert, Evergreen Technology): Provided a technical breakdown of common scams, specifically those involving fraudulent calls regarding Mahanagar Gas connections and electricity disconnection threats. He explained the mechanics of these frauds and shared preventive strategies.
Bharat Gurav (Cyber Officer, Vile Parle): Briefed the attendees on government initiatives and essential emergency resources, highlighting the national helpline numbers 1930 and 1945, as well as the Saarthi Application.
Celebrating Life and Community
Beyond the educational sessions, the police department added a personal touch to the evening. Senior citizens celebrating their birthdays in April were invited onto the stage for a cake-cutting ceremony, fostering a sense of community and care.
