Wanted accused Mehul Choksi claims in a video that all charges against him are bogus and fabricated!
Wanted criminal Mehul Choksi, the jewellery tycoon and maternal uncle of Prime accused Nirav Modi, in the Rs 13,000 crore PNB bank fraud is under tight corner as the ED (Enforcement Directorate) has submitted a reminder to the Interpol to issue a similar Red Corner Notice against Mehul Choksi as has been served against Purvi Modi, the sister of Nirav Modi.
Irked at ED’s reminder for Red Corner Notice to Interpol the fugitive Mehul Choksi who has fled India and settled in Antigua has come out from his hideout to prove his innocence in the massive PNB Scam charges against him. In a Video released by him, Choksi denied all charges against him by ED as false and fabricated!!! He mourned, “All the charges leveled against me by the ED are bogus and unfounded. I am sad to inform that I am being falsely targeted and all my properties have been illegally seized without any concrete evidence against me.” He lambasted the Indian government, “The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has suspended my passport without any valid justification.”
It may be noted after ED filed criminal charges against Mehul Choksi, after he fled the country and took citizenship of Antigua and Barbuda. According to ED Mehul Choksi is the key partner of Prime accused Nirav Modi and the two were involved in a major scam of siphoning crores of rupees in form of loans from banks abroad on bogus guarantees of Punjab National Bank!!
Under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) the ED has sent a reminder to Interpol through the National Central Bureau (NCB) of the Interpol in India. Both the ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are probing this case and have requested Caribbean nation of Antigua for the extradition of Mehul Choksi, where he is hiding after looting India!!
What is surprising is that though the Interpol has issued notices against Nirav Modi, his brother Neeshal, sister Purvi, his executives Subhash Parab and Mihir R Bhansali yet none of these business tycoons been arrested!
It is ironical that Prime Minister Narendra Modi before elections promised innocent Indians of Acche Din by promising to bring back Black money from foreign countries but almost 4 and a half year is over and there is no sign of black money being brought back!!
On the contradictory, the hard-earned White Money of the Indian has been ruthlessly being ransacked by the so-called White-color business magnets like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Chowksi who have literally plundered Indian banks in the form of loans. These cheats are coolly living a luxurious life in foreign countries and enjoying life King-Size on the money of the poor Indians!!!
