World Memon Organization India Team extends humanitarian help for the relief of the Kerala Flood Victims :
WMO (World Memon Organization) India Team led by Mr Haji Ehsan Haji Amin bhai President and Haseen Bhai Aghadi Treasurer, Haji Bhai Lokhandwala RMC Member, Haji Mudassar Patel Life member, and Raziabai Chashmawala RMC Member and Naseemabai Surty member and other donated wholeheartedly and extended humanitarian help for the relief of the Kerala Flood Victims.
Haji Mudassar Patel told Hello Mumbai, “We first visited the area near the airport of Kochi known as Chengamanad. Here we were guided by Kerala’s oldest Kochi Cutchi Memon Federation (195 years old) President Mr. Anwar Hasmi Bhai and Dr. Salaam and his team, who gave us a briefing at the Panchayat office of the village and the pathetic plight of the villagers.” He added, “From there Mr. Anwar Bhai took us to the worst affected villages and each village had their own sob story to tell.”
Mr. Haji Ehsan Haji Amin Bhai informed Hello Mumbai, “Rescue Team provided  helicopter arrangements ,first airlifted a very old couple whose house was drowned in water. They had lost all their belongings. They lived in a rented house. Similarly, the other families had also suffered losses because the water level was above 15 feet.”
Haji Bhai Lokhandwala said, “People were in deep crises. Some people needed sewing machines to make a living. Some asked for household articles, some asked money to do business and repairs their houses to replace fans/lights/ beds many other essential items.”
Raziabai Chashmawala told, “We also visited a colony of houses which were damaged and urgently needed partial repairs. These were around 12 to 15 houses. The scene was chilling and emotional. In fact, we skipped our lunch so we could visit as many places till dark and help maximum people.”
“Later at the hotel, we discussed with our team and Anwar Bhai and came to a conclusion to adopt 15 families and fulfill their immediate requirement. Besides food and essential support, the repairs of the 15 houses were also done immediately,” Raziabai Chashmawala informed.
