With Christmas around the corner actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee pulled off a surprise party for underprivileged children and inviting none other than kids’ superhero Chhota Bheem and his friend Chutki as the chief guests.
Devoleena had the plan for a surprise party brewing on her mind and while browsing through channels over dinner she stumbled upon a Chhota Bheem promo, pat came the idea to take the party over to Dholakpur.
She reached the makers of Chhota Bheem through sources and they were quick to oblige. A mock Dholakpur was set up at a suburban hotel, topped off with a 8 feet tall Christmas tree and decorations fitting the season. Children from Shram Yash Charitable Trust attended the do and were thrilled when Chhota Bheem and his friend
Chutki made a star entry to their famous titular song ‘Chhota Bheem Chhota Bheem’
Talking about the Christmas party, actor Devoleena said, “Christmas brings in a lot of warmth and joy. It’s a lot of plum pudding, Santa and merry making but in between all of these I feel the spirit of Christmas is to share. So in my own little way I tried to bring in some fun for these kids. Chhota Bheem is an all time hero for kids so the idea to get him to meet children was an instant hit. I had lots of fun with the kids and I’m sure they loved it as much.”
Rajiv Chilaka, creator of Chhota Bheem said, “I think Devoleena came up with a marvelous idea. We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this event. I have always believed that Christmas means to share and spread joy. The best thing that I could share with children is Chhota Bheem and Green Gold will continue to be a part of such efforts. ”
The fun filled evening was laced with lots of games, music and refreshments. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actor cut a cake with team Bheem with the bachcha party in tow and handed out Christmas goodie bags from Chhota Bheem to these children.
