The 5th edition of the Bollywood Maha Arogya Shivir was successfully organised by Doctor 365 and the DRVA Charitable Trust on January 18, 2026, at Chitrakoot Ground, Andheri West. The mega health initiative witnessed the presence of prominent personalities from the film industry, corporate sector, public life and the medical fraternity, reinforcing the growing collaboration between social responsibility and celebrity advocacy.
Renowned Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty attended the camp as the chief guest, while actor Tusshar Kapoor was present as the guest of honour. The programme was spearheaded by Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, Chairman of Doctor 365 and DRVA Charitable Trust, along with Rotary Club’s Dr. Manish Motwani. The event also saw participation from several distinguished guests, including Biranchi Das (Director Personal, SECL), Swapnil Dhar (Managing Director, SBI Foundation), Sanjay Prakash (Former MD, SBI Foundation), Manoj Agarwal (CMD, BCCL), M.K. Ramaiya (Director HR & Personnel, BCCL), Gyaneshwar Patil (Member of Parliament, Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh), actress Upasana Singh, Naresh Malhotra (Chairman, Prime Focus), actors Deepak Parashar, Dilip Sen and Sangeeta Tiwari.
The initiative received extensive support from social leaders and industry representatives such as Vishal Singh, Annu Singh, celebrated fashion designer Archana Kochhar, Mahesh Manwani, B.N. Tiwari, Amit Doshi, Dr. Dilip Pawar, Dr. Govind Reddy, Dr. Subhash, Harish Choksi, Mahendra Poddar (Chitrakoot Ground), Yogita Borkar, Ani Bhushan and Dr. Anil Pande. All dignitaries were felicitated with bouquets, and the programme formally commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.


The free mega medical camp benefited tens of thousands of citizens, offering a wide range of healthcare services including general health check-ups, eye examinations with free spectacles, blood tests, dental care, ENT services, general surgery consultations, gynecology, urology, dermatology, cancer screening, paediatric care, X-rays, BMD, BMI analysis, mammography, ECGs, medicines distribution and issuance of health cards. Wheelchairs were also distributed to patients in need.


According to the organisers, the 5th Bollywood Maha Arogya Shivir recorded an impressive outreach. Around 56,000 patients availed free medical services, 1,200 wheelchairs were distributed, and over 13,000 eye examinations along with free spectacles were provided. Medicines worth approximately ₹2.5 crore were distributed during the camp. In addition, 58 surgical cases were identified, 13,000 diabetes tests and 21,000 blood tests were conducted, along with 200 mammography screenings, 525 ECGs and 900 BMD tests. The massive operation was made possible through the collective efforts of more than 800 doctors, over 1,100 paramedical staff and 300 dedicated volunteers from leading hospitals across Mumbai.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar said that the Bollywood Maha Arogya Shivir has been organised consistently for the past five years with a special focus on people associated with the film and media industry, as well as their families. “Our objective has always been to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone. We are grateful to all our guests, especially chief guest Shilpa Shetty, for supporting this noble cause,” he stated.
The dignitaries present lauded Dr. Dharmendra Kumar for his sustained contribution to public health. His organisation has also earned recognition for setting a world record by conducting the highest number of free mega medical camps.
The DRVA Charitable Trust has been actively serving society for the last 15 years. Under Dr. Dharmendra Kumar’s leadership, the trust has organised a total of 9,781 medical camps, benefiting nearly 19.6 million patients across the country. The trust has conducted over 1.1 million sickle cell tests, treated 22,000 patients, screened 1.2 million tuberculosis patients and provided medicines, distributed nutrition kits to 80,000 TB patients, examined 300,000 eyes, distributed 180,000 spectacles, provided 92,000 wheelchairs and facilitated more than 11,000 surgeries to date.
With its scale, impact and sustained commitment, the 5th Bollywood Maha Arogya Shivir once again reaffirmed Doctor 365 and DRVA Charitable Trust’s vision of building a healthier, empowered and progressive society through accessible healthcare for all.
