Brief Description of Summit:
After a highly successful event in May, the Indian Mental Health Summit (IMHS) is back. The IMHS 2.0 Winter Edition is set to take place on November 16th at The Beatle Hotel, Powai. This event will bring together over 350 mental health professionals, students, and advocates for an enriching day of discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
The summit is set to host a series of engaging panel discussions that will shed light on significant and relevant aspects of mental well-being. Panel topics include “Reclaiming Our Heritage: Indian Psychology and Its Global Relevance,” which will explore how traditional Indian psychological practices are being integrated into the modern mental health landscape. “Reimagining Recovery: The Future of Substance Dependence and Rehabilitation” will delve into new strategies for supporting individuals through recovery. The third panel, “Criminal Minds: A Deep Dive into Forensic Psychology,” will examine the intersection of mental health and criminal justice. “Plastic Surgery, Body Modification, and Mental Health” will address the psychological implications of growing trends in cosmetic surgery and body modification. Lastly, “Empowered Bodies, Empowered Minds: The Psychological Dimensions of Sexual Wellness” will focus on the connection between sexual health and overall mental well-being.
IMHS 2.0 is not only about thought-provoking discussions; it will also feature interactive workshops and wellness stalls hosted by leading organizations in the mental health space. Partners such as Samarpan Rehabilitation Centre, Life Hetu, Disha Counseling Centre, UnPlug, LightHouse Centre for Arts and Well-Being, Raptourous Jigsaw, and GreenLands Nursery will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about innovative products, services, and resources, while engaging directly with experts in the field.
IMHS provides a unique opportunity for mental health professionals to collaborate, connect, and expand their knowledge. Attendees will have the chance to network with like-minded individuals, gain valuable insights into the latest research, and explore new approaches to mental health care.
