From August 27 to 29, Floating Canvas Company will illuminate the Gothic landmark as part of the Mumbai Light Festival.
This August, Colaba’s historic Afghan Church will be seen in a new light. From August 27 to 29, ASCENSION, presented by the Mumbai Light Festival and created by Floating Canvas Company (FCC), will bring an immersive projection-mapping experience inside the Grade I heritage structure for the first time.
Inspired by humanity’s timeless desire to look beyond, the experience will see celestial imagery—clouds, stars, radiant energy and vast skies—play across the church’s Gothic arches. The landmark’s scale, architecture and stained-glass windows will become part of the visual experience.
Visitors can take a seat and soak in the changing interplay of light and colour, offering a fresh way to experience one of Mumbai’s iconic architectural landmarks.
