After carrying out the entire story of Bmc officer Satish Mahalekar from E Ward who was attacked by Rti activist Shamshad Ahmed and police was reluctant to lodge the FIR against the accused. After publishing the article in Hello Mumbai Police got into action and filed an FIR against the culprit and not only that Mahalekar has been provided with Mumbai constable carrying Stengun for his safety .

Mr Mahalekar is a honest officer who launched a campaign against the blackmailers and Rti activists who do not belong to the local area and file Rti with wrong intention of black mailing the developer.

” I am thankful to “Hello Mumbai” who had the courage to put the truth before the people and publish all the facts without being partial ,which is very rare in today’s time to expect from a media house. But i still feel that my life is in danger. I have also informed the higher authority because these professional rti activist can do anything against me because on their complaint I took action but their intrest was to arrange a meeting with the developer which I did not do that’s why they are against me but I am not afraid of them and will continue doing my work with honesty and sincerity.”, Said Mahalekar.

Kishore Desai Assistance Commissioner of “E” ward also expressed his thoughts that Mumbai police is also a government agency they should support us if we are doing any good work .Both are Government agencies if we both come together we can fight against anti social elements and we can make our society a better place to live.
Mr Desai who is a down to earth Officer also thanked “Hello Mumbai” to carry this story which will give strength to other officers to fight against such activists.
