Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti Casts Vote with Family, Urges Citizens to Participate in BMC Elections

Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bhatti on Wednesday set an example of civic responsibility by exercising his right to vote in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections along with his family.

Sharing a post on social media platform X, Commissioner Deven Bharti posted a photograph with his wife after casting his vote. In his message, he emphasized the importance of participating in the democratic process and encouraged citizens to come forward in large numbers.
“Starting the day by fulfilling my duty! I have exercised my right and cast my vote in the @mybmc elections along with my family. I urge every Mumbaikar to come forward and vote and encourage your near and dear ones to cast their votes as well,” he wrote.
The Commissioner’s appeal comes as Mumbai witnesses polling for Asia’s largest municipal corporation amid elaborate security arrangements put in place by the Mumbai Police to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of elections.
His message resonated as a strong call for voter awareness and participation, reinforcing the importance of every citizen’s role in strengthening democracy through active involvement in the electoral process.
