The extremely severe Cyclonic Storm Tauktae was a powerful tropical cyclone in the Arabian Sea that became the strongest tropical cyclone to ever affect the west coast of India.

Cyclone Tauktae Impacted on more than half of India on 17th May. Mumbai was partially hit and damages were severe.
Attributably to this cyclone, the Corporators of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation went all out to do their best to help the people in need.

And the one of the most helpful Corporator who stepped forward to help the people was Advocate Santosh Kharat (Shiv Sena) Ward No 195 Worli. He distributed food to the poor on the road including Mahim Darga, and Mount Mary Church Bandra,etc.

Notably, Environment Minister, Worli’s beloved MLA, Aditya Thackeray ,under the guidance of Shiv Sena Deputy Leader Shri Sachin bhao Ahir on the demand of Santosh Kharat distributed food for the ordinary poor people dwelling on the streets of all places of Worship in Mumbai i.e. temples, mosques, churches,dargas, as well as the poor people living on public roads in the ward. Puri-Bhaji, vegetable-Chapati, rice were given to the needy people peacefully.
