A dental camp was organised by the WE Club of Vashi at Ram Krishnaa Academy at Panvel for the students, teachers and non-teaching staff on Thursday, August 17,2023. WE clubs are spread over several states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh etc. The 323A2 district has 14 clubs in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and more than 300 members.

The camp was conducted by doctors, interns and helpers of Bharti Vidyapeeth’s Dental college. The dental checkups began at 9.30 a.m. and children from pre primary to secondary were brought by their respective teachers where their details were entered. The medical staff then proceeded to check their teeth. Around 360 students availed of this facility. Dr Sujata Pingey led the team who efficiently did the checkups and awarded each student with a bright toothbrush.

Educational talks on proper hand wash and correct dental care and hygiene were given to the students. Demonstrations on the correct usage of toothbrush and their effectiveness was explained.
Ram Krishnaa Academy run by the Vidhyadhiraj Charitable Trust is an English medium school where children from seven villages of Harigram Kewale attend.
Present on the occasion were the Principals Harshalata Chimankar, Shri Tawde and teachers. Immediate Past District President of WE, Arti Bhatia, Past District President, Sujatha Rao, Activity chairperson Sudha Kamath, Past president of Vashi Abha Saxena, PRO Veena Adige took active part in organizing this event.
