On the occasion of World MSME Day, Hello Mumbai News Editor-in-Chief Aleem Shaikh conducted an exclusive interview with Dr. Madhuri Bhatt, Founder of Soham Homoeopathic Clinic and Healing Centre, based in Ahmedabad. Sharing her perspective on the vital role of the healthcare sector in India’s MSME ecosystem, Dr. Bhatt emphasized that independent healthcare clinics not only provide quality medical services to communities but also generate significant employment opportunities by supporting doctors, assistants, pharmacists, laboratory professionals, and allied healthcare workers. She noted that strengthening healthcare MSMEs through innovation, skill development, and supportive policies will contribute to a healthier society while accelerating India’s economic growth and entrepreneurial development.
Hello Mumbai News
Could you Please introduce yourself and tell us about your 15 year journey as a homoeopathic doctor and entrepreneur.
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
I am Dr. Madhuri Bhatt, Founder of Soham Homoeopathic Clinic & Healing Centre. Looking back at the last 15 years, I feel grateful for every experience because each patient and every challenge has helped me grow both as a doctor and as a person.
For me, homoeopathy is about understanding the person behind the illness. Every patient has a unique story, and every treatment should be personalized. Starting my own clinic was a dream to create a place where people feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. The trust my patients have placed in me has been my greatest motivation, and their recovery continues to inspire me every day.
Hello Mumbai News
. What inspired you to establish Soham Homoeopathic Clinic & Healing Centre, and what vision drives your organization today?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
The inspiration came from a simple belief that healthcare should be personal and compassionate. I wanted to build a clinic where patients receive enough time to share their concerns and where treatment focuses on the root cause instead of just the symptoms.
Today, our vision is to provide holistic healthcare that combines homoeopathy with guidance on lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, and preventive care. We want every patient to leave the clinic feeling healthier, more confident, and supported throughout their healing journey.
Hello Mumbai News
As World MSME Day celebrates entrepreneurship, how do you see healthcare clinics contributing to India’s MSME ecosystem?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Healthcare clinics are an important part of the MSME ecosystem because they serve communities while also creating employment opportunities. Every independent clinic supports doctors, assistants, pharmacists, laboratory services, and many other professionals.
Beyond business, clinics contribute to society by improving public health and making quality healthcare accessible. A healthy community is the foundation of a strong economy, and healthcare MSMEs play a meaningful role in achieving that.
Hello Mumbai News
What were the biggest challenges you faced while establishing and growing your clinic, and how did you overcome them?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Like many entrepreneurs, the early years came with challenges. Building patient trust, creating awareness about homoeopathy, and managing the responsibilities of both a doctor and a business owner required patience and determination.

I learned that trust cannot be earned through advertising alone. It comes from honest communication, ethical practice, and consistent care. Every satisfied patient became our biggest ambassador, and that trust helped our clinic grow steadily over the years.
Hello Mumbai News
How has homoeopathy evolved in India over the last 15 years, and what changes have you witnessed in patient awareness and acceptance?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
The awareness of homoeopathy has grown significantly over the years. Earlier, many people considered it only after trying other treatment options. Today, many patients choose homoeopathy from the beginning, especially for chronic health conditions and preventive care.
People are now more informed and take an active interest in understanding their health. This positive shift has helped increase confidence in holistic healthcare and has encouraged more people to adopt a balanced approach to wellness.
Hello Mumbai News
What role do innovation, technology, and digital healthcare play in expanding homoeopathic practice and patient care?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Technology has made healthcare more accessible and convenient for both doctors and patients. Online consultations, digital records, appointment management, and educational content have improved communication and continuity of care.
At the same time, I believe technology should support healthcare, not replace the personal relationship between a doctor and a patient. Compassion, careful listening, and trust will always remain at the heart of good medical practice.
Hello Mumbai News
In your opinion, what government policies or support can further strengthen healthcare MSMEs, especially independent clinics?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Healthcare MSMEs can benefit from easier access to financial support, simplified regulations, and programs that encourage digital transformation. Skill development initiatives and awareness campaigns about preventive healthcare would also strengthen independent clinics.
Supporting small healthcare enterprises ultimately benefits society because it improves healthcare accessibility while encouraging responsible entrepreneurship.
Hello Mumbai News
How do you ensure quality, ethics, and patient trust while managing a healthcare enterprise?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Quality and ethics are the foundation of everything we do. Every patient receives personal attention, honest guidance, and treatment that is in their best interest.
We believe in clear communication, maintaining confidentiality, and setting realistic expectations. Patients appreciate transparency, and that trust becomes the strongest relationship a doctor can build.
Hello Mumbai News
What advice would you give to young doctors and women entrepreneurs who wish to establish their own healthcare ventures?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
My advice is to always remember why you chose this profession. If your priority is genuinely helping people, success will follow with time.
Continue learning, stay humble, and never compromise on ethics. To women entrepreneurs, I would say have confidence in your abilities. Every challenge makes you stronger, and with dedication and patience, you can build something truly meaningful.
Hello Mumbai News
What are your future expansion plans for Soham Homoeopathic Clinic & Healing Centre?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Our goal is to reach more people while maintaining the personalized care that defines Soham. We plan to strengthen our digital healthcare services, expand patient education programs, and introduce more holistic wellness initiatives.
We want to continue growing in a way that allows us to serve more families without compromising the quality of care that our patients trust.
Hello Mumbai News
What message would you like to share with MSME entrepreneurs across India on the occasion of World MSME Day?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
Every successful business begins with a meaningful purpose. Challenges are a part of every entrepreneurial journey, but honesty, consistency, and perseverance always create lasting success.
I encourage every entrepreneur to focus on creating value for society because when you genuinely solve people’s problems, growth naturally follows.
Hello Mumbai News
Finally, what is your vision for the future of homoeopathy and holistic healthcare in India over the next decade?
Dr. Madhuri Bhatt
I believe the future of healthcare will focus more on prevention, personalized treatment, and overall wellbeing. People are becoming more aware that good health is about maintaining balance in both body and mind.

I see homoeopathy playing an important role alongside modern medicine by offering holistic care for chronic conditions, lifestyle related health concerns, and preventive wellness. My hope is that every individual has access to ethical, compassionate, and patient centered healthcare that helps them live healthier and happier lives.
