Candle March in Goa against the brutal rape of a 16-year-old girl from Shahada in Maharashtra :
An NGO Rashtriya Komi Ekta Party took out a mute Candle March in Goa protesting against the brutal rape of a 16-year-old mentally challenged girl from Shahada taluka, Dhule District in Maharashtra state.
Vimal Trivedi Maharashtra State President Rashtriya Komi Ekta Party speaking to Hello Mumbai said, “We are demanding a CBI investigation in the brutal rape case of the mentally challenged 16 girl-year-old girl because the police department has failed to investigate the matter successfully.” He added, “Our aim is to bring the monstrous rape of a handicapped girl in public and prosecute the 7 accused involved in the gruesome rape within one week of the crime.”
Mr. Asif Khan, Youth President Of Goa told Hello Mumbai, “Our objective is to give justice to the victim. We are thus demanding an aid of Rs 50Lakhs to 1crore from the government for the future of the victim and her education.”
Miss. Tara Kerkar, NGO worker, who was part of the Candle March, told Hello Mumbai, “We demand strict action against the convicts. We want to make the public aware of this dreadful rape in which 7 people beastly raped a mentally challenged girl showing no sympathy for the innocent girl’s cries! We want the convicts to be punishment publicly!”
Vimal Trivedi, again demanded, ” This tragic incident took place on 9th January but the local police is still clueless about the fact.The Maharashtra Home Minister Minority’s wing and Women’s wing should enact action with the sections available in the justice systems as soon as possible as per 375, 376 and various others those applicable on the convicted and give justice to the victim.”
