On 14th Jan, 2025, Parisar Asha, a 42-year-old registered not- for-profit organisation proudly recognized a distinguished group of educators and social changemakers who were presented with the prestigious Gloria de Souza International Excellence Award for their outstanding contribution in the field of education and the society. 

This award was established in 2016 in the honour of the late founder and director, Ms. Gloria de Souza, who devoted her life towards transforming the educational system and create positive social impact. This award celebrates educators and social changemakers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment to global learning, and addressed social issues to create positive impact in the society. 

Twenty-five recipients in various categories of school education and social change were selected through a rigorous nomination process by an external jury. These recipients have consistently demonstrated a passion for advancing innovative educational practices and initiatives promoting positive social change. Their innovative approaches and dedication to fostering international understanding have had a profound impact in the community at large.

This award ceremony was graced by Padmabhushan Prof. Jyeshtharaj Joshi an Indian nuclear physicist as the chief guest. Prof. Jyeshtharaj was generous enough to share his piece of wisdom to all the attendees and his insights about as to how to promote education holistically.
