Mohd Shariful Islam alias Vijay Das has been identified and arrested as the prime accused in Actor Saif Ali Khan attack case  Earlier suspects detained by the police were found to be unrelated. The arrest was conducted through a joint operation by DCP Zone-6 Shri Navnath Dhavale’s team and the Kasarvadavali police at the labor camp near the Metro construction site behind the TCS Call Center in Hiranandani Estate,Thane (W).

While addressing the Media Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 9 Dixit Gedam Said, arrested accused is a Bangladeshi and after entering India illegally he changed his name From Mohd Shariful Islam to Vijay Das He was using Vijay Das as his current name. He came to Mumbai 5-6 months ago. He stayed in Mumbai for a few days and then in the vicinity of Mumbai. The accused used to work in a housekeeping agency,”.

Now we have produced him before the Court and we got Five days Police Custody for investigation the Case.
