On 7 September 2026, Fairmont Mumbai hosted the International Wedding Summit 2026, presented by Glamour & Connections and created by Creativeshowz.
Curated and hosted by Varnika Bhargava, Founder of Creativeshowz, the invitation-only summit brought together an exclusive gathering of approximately 150–200 distinguished guests from weddings, luxury hospitality, destinations, fashion, entertainment and allied industries.
The summit was conceived as an intimate platform where ideas, influence, business and celebration could come together—creating conversations that extend beyond the event itself.
IDEAS, INSIGHTS & INFLUENCE
The programme featured a carefully curated mix of master classes, panel discussions and exclusive round-table meetings.
The round tables provided an intimate setting for dignitaries and delegates to exchange perspectives, explore opportunities and build meaningful relationships across the wedding and luxury ecosystem.
Conversations reflected the changing landscape of modern celebrations, from destination weddings and luxury hospitality to evolving consumer expectations and the growing global footprint of Indian weddings.
DESTINATIONS MEET INDIAN WEDDINGS
A dedicated destination segment brought international tourism representatives into conversation with the Indian wedding industry, exploring how Indian weddings are evolving across global destinations and how tourism boards can support planners, couples and wedding partners.
Malaysia Tourism shared insights into hosting Indian weddings in Malaysia, highlighting its destination offerings and the support available from the tourism board to facilitate stronger connections between Indian wedding professionals and Malaysian hospitality and destination partners.
The conversation opened the door to greater collaboration between Indian wedding planners and international destinations, reflecting the increasingly global nature of Indian celebrations.
A RUNWAY OF GLAMOUR
The evening transitioned seamlessly from conversations to celebration with an exquisite fashion showcase by celebrated designer Archana Kochhar, featuring Claudia Ciesla as the showstopper.
Music added another layer to the evening. Shibani Kashyap and Sonit Vohra delivered memorable performances, followed by the energetic MK Live Mumbai.
The evening also celebrated India’s cultural richness through the soulful performances of Sawai Khan & Shama from Jaisalmer, bringing together contemporary entertainment and traditional musical expression.
CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE
The evening culminated with the International Wedding Summit Awards, recognizing distinguished individuals and organizations contributing to the wedding, hospitality, luxury and celebration ecosystem.
The awards offered a fitting finale to a day built around knowledge, connection, creativity and recognition.
INTIMACY BY DESIGN
IWS 2026 deliberately remained invite-only, welcoming approximately 150–200 carefully curated guests.
The philosophy was simple: quality of interaction over scale.
By creating a more intimate environment, the summit allowed conversations to move beyond introductions and encouraged deeper relationships between industry leaders, dignitaries, destinations and premium businesses.
