IAS Shridhar Dube Appointed as CEO of Mumbai Slum Rehabilitation Authority (Thane)
MUMBAI: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the General Administration Department of the Government of Maharashtra has officially transferred senior IAS officer Shri. Shridhar Dube.
According to an official government order dated May 19, 2026, signed by Subhash Umranikar, Joint Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Dube has been appointed as the new **Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), Thane
Leadership Transition
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Dube was serving as the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Mumbai.
The government notification states that high-profile bureaucrat Tukaram Mundhe, IAS, will be taking over Mr. Dube’s former position as the new FDA Commissioner. Mr. Dube has been instructed to hand over his current charge to Mr. Mundhe immediately and assume his new responsibilities at the Slum Rehabilitation Authority without delay.
Who is IAS Shridhar Baburao Dube;
Shridhar Baburao Dube, born on January 3, 1971, is an IAS officer of the 2014 batch from the Maharashtra cadre. He holds an M.Sc. in Agriculture from Mahatma Phule Agriculture University. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner at Mumbai in the Food and Drugs Administration department since February 3, 2026. Prior to this role, he has held the position of Managing Director. He is currently in service.
